For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, LocalProxies is the data controller responsible for all personal data processed through the LocalProxies website, software, and related services.

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect personal data of users who:

- Purchase or use our services via FastSpring;
- Use the LocalProxies software and proxy network.

c. Limited metadata for fraud prevention and system maintenance:
- Port access logs
- Bandwidth consumed

3. Logging Policy (Transparent & Compliant)
We respect your privacy and apply a strict no-content-logging policy.
We DO NOT log:
- Websites you visit
- DNS queries
- Content of your internet traffic
- Online activity tied to browsing sessions or destinations
We DO log (minimal metadata):
- Connection timestamps
- IP addresses assigned by our system
- Duration of the connection
- Bandwidth consumed
Logged data is retained for a maximum of 7 days, then automatically deleted unless flagged for security investigation. Only authorized operations and compliance staff may access logs. All access is logged and subject to internal review. We never use logged metadata for marketing, profiling, or analytics.

We do not sell your data. We may share limited data with:
- FastSpring (payment processor): for billing, refunds, and order history
- Cloud hosting providers: for delivering the service
- Customer support software: Support Your App
- Advertising and analytics partners: Google (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook Pixel), only if you opt in to analytics or marketing cookies. Under the CPRA this constitutes “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising, which you can opt out of at any time (see Section 8).
All third-party processors are bound by data processing agreements (DPAs) and are GDPR/CCPA compliant.
7. International Data Transfers
Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA or UK, we use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), data minimization and encryption, and vendors with adequate safeguards.
8. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies for site performance and session authentication. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) and marketing cookies (Google Ads and the Meta Pixel); these are off by default and are set only if you opt in through our cookie banner. We retain account and billing data for as long as you maintain an account and up to 3 years after for audit and tax purposes. Logging metadata (see section 3) is retained for 7 days only.

We use industry-standard encryption, role-based access controls, and firewall protection. All payment data is handled directly by FastSpring and never stored on our servers.
