CCPA Notice at Collection
Effective Date: 25th July 2026
This notice is provided pursuant to the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (CPRA). It applies to California residents whose personal information is collected by LocalProxies, Inc. (“LocalProxies,” “we,” “us”).
1. Categories of Personal Information Collected
We may collect the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers: name, email address, IP address, account credentials
- Commercial information: subscription plan, purchase history, bandwidth usage
- Internet activity: connection timestamps, port assignments, bandwidth consumed (no content or browsing history is logged)
- Geolocation data: approximate location derived from IP address
2. Purposes of Collection
Personal information is collected and used for:
- Providing and maintaining our proxy services
- Processing payments (via FastSpring)
- Customer verification (KYC/KYB)
- Fraud prevention and network security
- Responding to support requests
- Complying with legal obligations
3. Sale and Sharing of Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information for money.
If you opt in to our advertising cookies, we share online identifiers and internet-activity data with advertising partners — specifically Google Ads and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel — which the CPRA treats as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising. This category is off by default, runs only with your consent, and you can decline or withdraw it at any time using the controls in Section 5.
We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those permitted under CCPA/CPRA.
4. Your Rights Under CCPA/CPRA
California residents have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- Delete personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information at any time (see Section 5 for how)
- Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
5. How to Opt Out of Sharing
You have two ways to opt out of the sharing described in Section 3, and neither requires an account:
- “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” — this link appears in the footer of every page. It opens your cookie preferences, where you can switch off the “Marketing” category (Google Ads and the Meta Pixel).
- Global Privacy Control (GPC) — we honor GPC signals. If your browser or a browser extension sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a valid opt-out of sharing and disable advertising cookies automatically, even if you had previously allowed them.
You can change your choice at any time.
6. Data Retention
Connection metadata is retained for a maximum of 7 days. Account and billing data is retained for the duration of your account and up to 3 years after closure for audit and tax purposes. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
7. How to Exercise Your Rights
To opt out of sharing, you do not need to submit a request — use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link or GPC as described in Section 5.
For access, deletion, or correction requests, contact us at [email protected] or use our CCPA request form. We will verify your identity before processing these requests. Requests are processed within 45 days as required under CCPA Section 1798.130.
